Jo Page Photography specialises in maternity and newborn photography, as well as family portraits for customers in Sussex and its surrounding areas. Having achieved a Diploma in Photography, Jo became a professional 10 years ago.
Jo tried many different genres of photography and enjoyed them all, but it wasn’t until she gave birth to her first son that she truly found her niche. While on leave from work, Jo started documenting the progress of her newborn and using her skills as a professional to show his little personality on camera.
She soon amassed hundreds of shots of her little boy at her Sussex studio. This would turn into thousands as she had her second and third sons. Jo soon realised that maternity photography and newborn photography were two of the genres about which she was most passionate.
Having been pregnant herself, Jo understands the importance of capturing those special moments all too well. She also understands that expectant mums in Sussex may be feeling a little uncomfortable and self-conscious of their bumps. Yet as a pro, Jo knows how to make you feel at ease. She also knows the techniques to create maternity photography that flatters you and emphasises your natural beauty and radiance.
To take the focus away from your body, there are a few tricks that Jo likes to use. For example, shooting from above has a nice slimming effect. Shooting on profile at a slight angle with the nearest leg set ever so slightly forward will help to reduce the prominence of your rear end, if you feel it necessary (although we’re sure it isn’t).
For most people in Sussex (and everywhere!), their families are the most important part of their lives. You and your family have a unique connection and as an expert, Jo Page is able to capture that bond on camera.
Whether you are celebrating your grandparents' golden wedding anniversary, the arrival of a newborn, or you would like a cake smash shoot to mark the first birthday of your little one, you can be sure that Jo's portrait photography will capture all the fun with ease.
The Jo Page Photography studio lies on 70 acres of countryside right in the heart of Sussex. This tranquil setting continues to have a strong influence on her work, which has a lovely rustic feel to it as a result.
